The Mansfield Library offers a variety of courses and workshops for both students and faculty.

LIB200 Research Strategies (1 credit): This online course equips students to make the most of Mansfield Library resources and services available from home, work, or anywhere with an internet connection. Students explore the academic research process and will find that the course ideally compliments the completion of a research project or paper in another course. An excellent short course for all students, particularly distant learners.

EVST201 Environmental Information Resources (3 credits): How to find, evaluate, and use existing information to increase understanding of environmental issues and resolve controversies. Students will: RESEARCH a subject, using a variety of sources (refereed literature, government sources, internet sources, interviews); EVALUATE sources critically; SYNTHESIZE INFORMATION & WRITE a literature review and give a formal TALK on their topic. Focus is on CRITICAL THINKING and dealing with the information explosion.
