The Copy Center is a high tech print, copy and digitization service center located at the west end of the main lobby of the Mansfield Library. From a single page copy to a wide-format photo print, the employees of the Copy Center are here to assist students, staff and faculty with their printing, copying and digitizing needs all hours the Mansfield Library is open.

Environmental Considerations:
Paper:
The Copy Center has eliminated all non-recyclable papers such as Astrobrights. The majority of prints the Copy Center outputs is on recycled paper. Currently we use 30% recycled paper for all letter size black & white prints/copies and 50% recycled paper for our legal prints. All future standard paper products purchased will be non-virgin.
Recycling:
The Copy Center recycles everything we can.
- Waste paper
- Recycled in multiple ways that includes in-house notepads for library staff and scrap paper for public use. All other waste paper is recycled through campus recycling
- Xerox Components and Consumables
- Epson ink cartridges
- Cardboard paper boxes
- Offered to staff/public for use and recycled if unclaimed
Equipment:
- All new machines purchased are EnergyStar compliant
- All current photocopy equipment the Copy Center uses are EnergyStar rated
- All machines that are not necessary for immediate operations are turned off completely
Lighting:
The Copy Center has reduced interior lighting levels by 55%
Output Options:
All printers (except Epson 4800 and 9800) can print double sided.

The Copy Center reduces the cost-per-page on double sided printing/copying to encourage paper conservation
- 25% - 47% savings on a letter/legal size black & white prints/copies
- 33% - 37% savings on 11x17 black & white prints/copies
- 4% - 7% savings on color prints/copies

Copies can be provided with two-consecutive per side and double sided so up to four book pages can be fit onto a single sheet of paper. When printing, depending on the program, multiple sheets/slides can be printed per page. Both of these options save paper and the total price of the job.
Our Employee Profile:
We employ over three dozen student employees. These employees work in the Copy Center as well as the Circulation Department. The student employees are supervised by eight staff members
