Wireless printing setup using Windows XP

Step 1: Click on the Start menu and then on Printers and faxes.
Step 2: Click on Add a Printer which is on the top left hand side of the window.
Step 3: Check the bubbled A network printer, or printer attached to another computer. Then click "next".
Step 4. Check the bubble "Connect to a printer on the internet, or on a home or office network". In the box next to "URL" enter the following:

(single sided printer)*
http://printsvr.lib.umt.edu:80/printers/ccsingleq/.printer

(double sided printer)*
http://printsvr.lib.umt.edu:80/printers/ccdoubleq/.printer

Then click "next"

*Note you can only add 1 printer at a time. To add both you must do this process for each printer*
Step 5: Click on Add a Printer which is on the top left hand side of the window.












                  Wireless printing setup using Windows Vista


Step 1: Click on the Start menu and then on the Control Panel.
Step 2: Click Hardware and Sound and then Printers
Step 3: Click on the Add a Printer + sign on the menu.
This will launch the Add Printer Wizard
Step 4: Click on the Add a network Printer option.
Step 5: On the Select a printer screen click on "The Printer I want isn't listed"
Step 6: Enter:
http://printsvr.lib.umt.edu:80/printers/ccsingleq/.printer
in the provided box for single-sided printer.
OR
http://printsvr.lib.umt.edu:80/printers/ccdoubleq/.printer for the double-sided printer.
Then click Next and the computer should find the printer and select the correct driver.





Mac OSX
  • Open System Preferences
  • Go to Print & Fax
  • Click on the "+" sign to add a printer
  • Click on the IP icon on the top
  • Choose Line Printer Daemon - LPD
  • Enter "printsvr.lib.umt.edu" in the address line
  • Enter "ccsingleq" in the Queue line
  • Enter "Mansfield Library" in the name line
  • Enter "Copy center" in the location line
  • Change the Print Using box to Xerox Workcentre 232
  • Click Add
  • Close the System Preferences application and you are done.
