Mande

updated 6-10-2004 Mande (Niger-Kordofanian) is a sub-branch of the Western Sudanic sub- branch of the Niger-Congo branch of the Niger-Kordofanian family of languages. There are a number of languages in the Mande sub-branch, including Bembara, Dyula, Kpelle, Loma, Malinke, Mende (not to be confused with the name of the sub-branch), Soninke, Susu, and Vai. The Mande languages are spoken in western Africa.
