Spokane is spoken in Washington state, and Kalispel is spoken in Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Flathead, also spoken in Montana, is considered by some to be a dialect of Kalispel. All three tongues are mutually intelligible, rendering them dialects of a single language by definition.
