Algonkian-Mosan

Algonkian-Mosan is one of the families of North American Indian languages. The Algonkian portion was originally proposed by the linguist Edward Sapir, as one of his "superstocks." Since then other linguists have expanded the family to include the Wakashan and Salishan languages, and given this expanded family the new name Algonkian-Mosan. The Algonkian-Mosan family includes the folowing branches: Algonkian-Wakashan and Salishan.
