Information & Research Services Division

The Information and Research Services Division (IRSD) of Mansfield Library supports the research, teaching and learning needs of University of Montana students, faculty and staff. IRSD provides research and instructional services to enable access, evaluation and use of the library’s online, print and media information resources.

Key Services

Research Assistance. Assistance is available in-person at the Reference Desk; through individual consultations with your liaison librarian; and by phone, email, chat and text message. See our contact information below.

Library Instruction. Library instruction is course integrated. Liaison librarians work with teaching faculty to integrate information literacy concepts and skills into course curricula. Community instruction is provided, per request.
