Computers and Equipment

There are over 80 computers available for use by faculty, staff and students of The University of Montana at the Mansfield Library, including four multi-media workstations. Additionally, two of the group study rooms provide presentation technology and the Library has a Viewing and Listening Area and Disability Center and equipment.

The computers provide access to the online catalog, databases, the Internet and several software applications, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Windows Media Player, and SPSS. The computers have CD Burners and USB Ports. Floppy, ZIP and USB drives are available at the Information Center for in-building use.

The multi-media workstations have scanners, slide scanners, digital media readers, video editing equipment (VHS and DVD) as well as CS3 productivity suite, Adobe, media-editing and photo-editing software.

The library also provides seven open access computers for use by anyone in the community.

All library computers print to laser printers located in the Copy Center. Large scale black and white and color copying and printing are available.

All workstations are governed by both our Conduct Policy and our Patron Rights & Responsibilities Policy.
